The Combined Applications of Microbial Inoculants and Organic Fertilizer Improve Plant Growth under Unfavorable Soil Conditions

چکیده

The performance of two bio-inoculants either in single or combined applications with organic fertilizer was tested to determine their effect on plant growth and yield under normal unfavorable field conditions such as low pH value content P. Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi (AMF; three species Glomus) the plant-growth-promoting bacterial strain Kosakonia radicincitans DSM16656 were applied barley a two-year experiment different soil levels available nutrients. Grain yield; contents P, N, K, Mg; microbial parameters measured. nutrients significantly increased by mineral fertilizer, AMF, K. radicincitans, application AMF over control conditions. Under low-pH low-P conditions, only could increase grain control.

Microbial inoculants and organic amendment improves plant establishment and soil rehabilitation under semiarid conditions.

The re-establishment of autochthonous shrub species is an essential strategy for recovering degraded soils under semiarid Mediterranean conditions. A field assay was carried out to determine the combined effects of the inoculation with native rhizobacteria (Bacillus megaterium, Enterobacter sp, Bacillus thuringiensis and Bacillus sp) and the addition of composted sugar beet (SB) residue on phys...

Soil conditions and plant growth'

Plants can respond to soil conditions in ways that can not readily be explained in terms of the ability of the roots to take up water and nutrients. Roots may sense difficult conditions in the soil and thence send inhibitory signals to the shoots which harden the plants against the consequences of a deteriorating or restrictive environment, especially if the plants' water supply is at risk. Gen...

Soil pathogen-aphid interactions under differences in soil organic matter and mineral fertilizer

There is increasing evidence showing that microbes can influence plant-insect interactions. In addition, various studies have shown that aboveground pathogens can alter the interactions between plants and insects. However, little is known about the role of soil-borne pathogens in plant-insect interactions. It is also not known how environmental conditions, that steer the performance of soil-bor...

Effects of plant species coexistence on soil enzyme activities and soil microbial community structure under Cd and Pb combined pollution.

The relationship between plant species coexistence and soil microbial communities under heavy metal pollution has attracted much attention in ecology. However, whether plant species coexistence could offset the impacts of heavy metal combined pollution on soil microbial community structure and soil enzymes activities is not well studied. The modified ecological dose model and PCR-RAPD method we...

Composting of common organic wastes using microbial inoculants

It is important to use renewable resources to maximize crop yields and minimize the environmental hazards associated with chemical residues. Composting is an age old practice for the biological conversion of organic waste to a humus-like substance which can enhance physical, chemical and biological soil properties. To explore the effect of microorganisms in the composting process, three potent ...
